Two sisters have moved into their homes at Heron Park

Two sisters have completed their purchases of homes on our Heron Park development in Boston.

Do Shared Ownership developments have a good community spirit?

Laura Tunnard has bought her two bedroom semi-detached home close to where her sister, Abigail Sutterby, has recently completed on her three bedroom end of terrace.

The sisters said it wasn’t planned to be neighbours, but were looking forward to having familiar faces living close by.

Laura added: “We haven’t always planned to live near to each other, especially as I didn’t fancy doing the babysitting!

“We’re close though, so it’ll be nice to have a familiar face as a neighbour.

“I’m incredibly excited to be so close to my family – especially when I need the lawn cutting!”

As for being neighbours with her sister, Abigail said she was looking forward to the experience.

“It wasn’t planned, but my sister was the main reason we even looked into the properties on Heron Park,” Abigail added.

“My girls and I all have a close relationship with my sister, so it’ll be nice to be able to just walk round the corner to see her.

“It’s exciting, especially because this’ll be a first home but for us both.”

The whole team has been really helpful and incredibly professional and now working for the Group has given me even more confidence.

Can I buy a bigger share of my property?

Two ladies smiling outside their new homeLaura has bought a 45 percent share in her home for £58,500. She said the option of buying through Shared Ownership attracted her to the development.

She added: “The whole team has been really helpful and incredibly professional.”

Laura’s sister Abigail also praised the Shared Ownership model, saying it had presented a more affordable home ownership option.

“I was attracted to Heron Park because of the area it’s in and the fact it’s closer to my family and work for me and my partner.

“The homes are nicely built with spacious gardens and we knew we wanted a property here as soon as we saw the development map.

“This was a more affordable option for us as a family to be able to own our own property.

“We can also staircase and buy more of the property in the future which in turn will make it more affordable for us in the long run also and we can do this when we’re ready.”

This was a more affordable option for us as a family to be able to own our own property.
