Julie Doyle

Chief Executive

With over 25 years' experience in the housing sector, Julie became Chief Executive in 2015. Working on the Group’s Business Development Strategy, Julie is committed to ensuring the Group provides excellent services across its areas of operation and that it continues to grow in its role as a leading, dynamic provider of new housing and related services.

Initially joining Longhurst Group in 1995, Julie has played several roles within the organisation and has been particularly influential in securing tenders and stock transfers during her time as Managing Director of Spire Homes.

Louise Platt

Executive Director of Care and Business Partnerships

Louise’s executive career started in commercial service organisations before joining the housing sector where she has worked for over 13 years, helping Axiom Housing Association achieve excellent ratings for governance and viability, as well as Investors in People Gold Standard and multiple Sunday Times Top 100 listings. 

Louise, who played a leading role in the successful negotiation and completion of the merger with Longhurst Group in July 2017, was previously Axiom’s Executive Director of Corporate Services.  She joined the Group’s Executive Team in October 2017 when she was appointed Executive Director of Care and Business Partnerships. Louise is passionate about building upon the strong reputation of the care and support services within the Group and will be integral in the leading the delivery of our new Care and Support business development strategy.  

Robert Griffiths

Deputy Chief Executive & Chief Financial Officer

Becoming Deputy Chief Executive in 2015, Rob has been Chief Financial Officer since 2006 and leads the Group’s Finance and Treasury Teams including risk management and audit.

Since joining the organisation in 1994 Rob has acquired a comprehensive understanding of the sector and wider business needs of the Group. Most recently Rob led on the completion of a £250m own named debut Bond issue in 2012.

Elsewhere, Rob Chairs the National Housing Federation Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) working party and in 2011 was appointed as an observer to the Financial Reporting Councils’ Committee on Accounting for Public Benefit Entities. Rob is also Chair of the East Midlands Finance Forum and a member of NHF’s Finance & Policy Advisory Group.

Ian Jackson

Executive Director of Portfolio Investment

After attending university to train as a quantity surveyor, Ian began working in housing association development in 1992. First joining the Group in 1995, Ian has led the delivery of our increasingly ambitious development programme for over 10 years becoming an Executive Director in 2015.

Outside of work, Ian sits as vice chair of the finance and general purposes committee for Peterborough Regional College. 

Jonathan Driffill

Executive Director of Partnerships

After joining Friendship in the 1990s Jonathan became a member of the Longhurst Group executive team in 2006.  In addition to his work with Longhurst Group he chairs the Birmingham Social Housing Partnership (BSHP), the Birmingham Race Action Partnership (brap), and Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC).

As a great advocate of communication, Jonathan strongly believes that the only way to genuinely offer service excellence is by listening to what staff and customers have to say. He places great value on teamwork and subscribes to the notion that customers and staff alike should benefit from their involvement with Longhurst Group.

Lynn Stubbs

Executive Director of People and Performance

Lynn joined Longhurst in 1996 to lead on performance and quality initiatives within the organisation. Lynn was previously Director of Business Services at Spire Homes, responsible for operational areas such as property and customer services, resident and community involvement, along with quality assurance, regulation and marketing and communications.

Lynn brings a wealth of experience in project management, communications and community work gained in various roles in the public and voluntary sector. 

Sharon Guest

Executive Director of Housing Services

Sharon joined Longhurst Group in July 2016, and is responsible for services operating across the Group’s 19,000 homes.

With more than 20 years housing management experience, Sharon will play a pivotal role in leading the direction of the organisation. 

When it comes to meeting the needs of the sector, Sharon is hands on in making sure customers views are heard and takes the opportunity to talk about the challenges facing housing associations.  Earlier in the year, Sharon had the opportunity to meet with MP, Dame Margaret Beckett (and former Minister for Housing and Planning) to discuss how housing associations can work together to offer solutions to the housing crisis.
