Fair View Court open day marks 15th anniversary

Customers and colleagues at our Fair View Court supported accommodation helped stage an open day to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

The celebration event had entertainment, food and a visit from the Mayor of Peterborough, Councillor Gul Nawaz.

Michelle Martell, Service Manager, said she was delighted with how the event went.

She said: “These sort of events are an opportunity to show other services what we do and a chance to build relationships with other services.

“This one was particularly special as we were celebrating the 15th anniversary of Fair View Court.

“I managed to secure some funding for some plants and over the last few weeks, customers and colleagues have been painting fencing and planting the new plants ready for the event.

“We had a barbecue and cakes and some customers displayed their artwork. Having the Mayor present was great.

“The passion, commitment and enthusiasm from the staff team was clear on the day and after all the years working at Fair View Court, they are still so committed to helping reduce homelessness and make a significant change to people’s lives.

“The residents said it was an amazing day and it was all thanks to a great team effort - from customers to colleagues, friends and family. Everyone got stuck in and made for a great event.

“A big thank you must go to all the volunteers who helped make the day possible.”
