Safer Off The Streets

Longhurst Group is proud to be a partner in the Safer Off The Streets programme, which aims to end street homelessness in Peterborough.

The initiative brings together organisations from voluntary, faith, community and public service agencies to help those sleeping rough on the city’s streets.

We already operate a number of initiatives in Peterborough to combat homelessness, including the Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP), which offers shelter for homeless individuals at our Fair View Court supported housing project during periods of cold weather.

The New Haven in Peterborough is our 12-week short stay direct access hostel, which provides temporary supported accommodation for up to 19 people aged 17 and over. This scheme accepts referrals from customers directly and helps them address the issues which have led to homelessness.
