Work completed at multi-million pound Willow Court development

Work on our multi-million pound Willow Court development in Whittlesey has been completed.

The £9.3 million assisted living scheme provides 47 one-bedroom and 13 two-bedroom flats for those over-65 who have a care need.

Construction firm Lindum Group has now completed building work on the scheme, with the keys having now been handed over to us.

Nick Worboys, Director of Development and Sales, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to see building work finish at Willow Court and that the development is now ready to welcome its first residents.

"We’re proud to have worked closely with Lindum Group to make this fantastic scheme a reality and we believe it’ll go a long way to helping improve the lives of the community of Whittlesey.

“The development has been completed to a high standard and we’re very proud of it.”

Each apartment at Willow Court is finished with high-quality fixtures and fittings, as well as neutral decoration to allow residents to make it feel like home.

Willow Court also boasts a residents’ lounge, restaurant, hair salon and therapy room, micro-shop and communal gardens.

Louise Platt, Executive Director of Care and Business Partnerships, added: “With Willow Court, we want to provide a setting that allows all residents to live well and flourish in a caring environment.

"This ambitious project will greatly improve the lives of elderly people in the local community, enabling them to live independently with the convenience of having on-site access to the care and support they need.

"One in seven local elderly residents are currently struggling to access the social care that they need because of their rural location and the lack of this kind of facility, so the now completed Willow Court will be a real asset to the area.”

General Manager of Lindum Peterborough, Darren King said: “We’ve been involved in this project since 2015. We worked with the client on the design and value engineering to ensure they got the best possible product.

“We’re really pleased with the final result and are happy to say the building was snag-free on the day we handed over. I’m very proud of the construction team.

“The project has further consolidated our relationship with Longhurst Group, who have been great partners and have worked collaboratively throughout.”
