Changes to housing teams

We’ve made some changes to some of our housing teams that we feel will make a real difference to you and your community.

We’ve listened to your views and are acting on them. You said that you want us to provide a more local and personal service. These changes will help us to do just that.

Housing Officers

Our new-look Housing Officers will provide a clear contact, giving you quicker answers and fewer handovers. They will:

  • help with most tenancy-related queries
  • get to know you and your neighbourhood
  • offer support in your home
  • connect you with the right specialist teams if you need them.

Community Safety Officers

We’re introducing Community Safety Officers. Their role is to help keep your neighbourhood safe, welcoming and a place you can feel proud of.

Community Safety Officers will provide a specialist response to anti-social behaviour and work closely with key partners such as the police and other local services.

All of this means faster, stronger responses to serious issues and safer communities.

Allocations Team

Our new-look Allocations Team will manage how customers apply for and move into homes, as well as things like mutual exchanges.

They’ll also work closely with Housing Officers to support you with certain tenancy matters.

Overall, these changes will:

  • Make it easier for customers to see and reach us
  • Provide a more local, personal response
  • Build stronger links with local communities and partners.
  • Make positive contributions to your neighbourhoods
