Floating Support for those with learning disabilities
If you or someone you know is living with a learning disability and requires personalised support to live independently, we offer outreach support that we can deliver in individual’s homes.
Our outreach services are focussed on achieving positive outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities by working with them to develop and maintain life skills such as:
- Food shopping
- Support with finances
- Support to maintain tenancies
- Support to lead healthy lifestyles
- Social life and leisure activities
- Voluntary or work placements
- Community engagement.
This type of support focuses on helping you build on your strengths, providing you with opportunities to engage with community-based services and resources. We really want to help you achieve your personal goals and support your chosen way of life, ultimately helping you to be more independent.
Support workers can provide up to four hours of support per week, tailored to your specific needs or circumstances. This can also consist of one-to-one support from a peer mentor, getting involved in specialist group workshops and group activities, and more.
