Amplius reaches milestone of 40,000 homes

Amplius now owns and manages more than 40,000 homes across the Midlands, East and Southeast of England.

We passed the milestone in August when taking handover of our latest new-build homes.

The homes that we own and manage include general needs housing as well as supported and independent living, housing for older people, Shared Ownership properties and leasehold homes.

Julie Doyle, Chief Executive, said: “I’m extremely proud that we’ve passed the milestone of 40,000 homes being under our ownership or management.

“We know how important it is for people to have a place to call home and since we became Amplius, we’ve been doing a lot of work to improve our existing homes, build new affordable housing where it’s needed most and make sure the services we provide meet the needs of our customers.

“While reaching the landmark of 40,000 homes is a great achievement, it’s also about more than just bricks and mortar.

“We’re providing quality and affordable homes for the people who need them, as well as providing the additional support some of them may need.”

Our development programme has an aim to see us building 1,000 homes each year and it was this ambition which helped us reach the milestone within nine months of our merger.

Marcus Keys, Chief Development and Commercial Officer, added: “We’re completing and taking handover of around 80 new homes each month at the moment.

“This ambitious development programme is helping us expand as an organisation, but also provide much-needed affordable housing right across our operational area.

“We’ll continue to do this and I’m proud that the hard work of our teams has helped us reach our milestone of owning and managing more than 40,000 homes so soon after the merger.”
