Garages

Rent a Garage

Garages are used for the storage of vehicle(s). We operate a waiting list for customers looking to rent a garage from us.

We have currently closed our waiting list to rent a garage. Please keep checking this page for any updates.

Important Information

If our waiting list reopens and you wish to rent a garage from us, here are some important pieces of information to bear in mind:

  • All garage related rent payments are paid for via direct debit.
  • You will need to pay an initial 4-week deposit when you sign up.
  • You do not have to be an Amplius customer to apply for a garage.
  • We take applications from anyone over the age of 18.
Rent payment amounts are reviewed every year.

You will be liable for the contents of the garage. You should make sure you have the necessary insurance protection cover. We will not be responsible for any damage to items stored.

Inflammable liquids or hazardous substances (such as petrol, Calor gas, refrigerators, or freezers) must not be stored in the garage.

Why we may refuse a garage application

You may not be considered for a garage or hardstanding if:

  • Any kind of debt is owed. This includes current or former Amplius tenancies. It also applies to all members of customer’s household.
  • Applications will not be considered until the debt is cleared.
  • If there are any other potential breaches of tenancy. This could include, an anti-social behaviour (ASB) complaint recorded, a record of abuse towards our staff or making false statements to secure a tenancy.

Ending your garage tenancy

If you would like to give up your garage you will need to let us know in advance. We would require you to:

  • Pay any outstanding payments relating to your garage tenancy.
  • Contact us to give us at least 1 weeks’ notice. However, garage tenancies end on a Sunday. For example, if you inform us on a Thursday that you wish to end your agreement, this will be finalised by the following Sunday.
  • Fill out a ‘garage notice to quit’ form and send this back to us. When you inform us that you wish to end your tenancy, we will provide you with the blank form.

If a completed notice to quit form is not returned to us, the garage tenancy will continue to run, and payments will be taken.

If you wish to end your garage tenancy, you can submit an enquiry online or alternatively you can call us on 0800 111 4013.
