Door Entry Systems
We asked customers living in blocks of flats with fire risk assessments to share their experiences of door entry systems. We wanted to know how well they work, how safe people feel, and what features they’d like to see in future.
A total of 706 customers took part. Their insight will help shape the future specification for door entry systems across Amplius homes, ensuring they’re reliable, secure and easy to use.

What we’ve done
- Shared all safety-related feedback directly with our Asset Compliance Team, who are reviewing and following up where needed.
- Surveyed sites with frequent communal door issues. This is helping us to review when they will be replaced.
- Customer preferences are influencing how we balance traditional and modern access options, ensuring systems remain both safe and simple.
What we’re doing
- Using your views to shape a new specification for future door entry systems. It will focus on better door security, improved reliability, and accessible technology for everyone.
- We’re reviewing repair response times to improve consistency and ensure urgent issues are prioritised.
What’s next
- We’ll continue working with the Asset Compliance Team to plan upgrades to older systems and explore the use of modern, easy-to-use technology that supports customer safety.
Thanks to everyone who took provided feedback for this.
