Longhurst Group
A leading performer in housing and care
Longhurst Group is a leading regional
housing organisation managing more than 16,000 homes in around
40 local authority areas. The Group’s reach spans the Midlands,
East of England and Yorkshire and Humberside regions; it includes
major cities, deprived coastal towns and many rural areas.

The Group and its four member companies –
Friendship Care and Housing,
L&H Homes, Spire Homes and Keystone Developments– offer much
more than just a landlord service. Together members provide
affordable homes for rent and sale, support neighbourhoods, tackle
social problems. They also help people to improve their lives by
increasing job and training opportunities, accessing grants and
benefits and building neighbourhood connections. Collectively, the
Group aims to help create communities where people live positively
together.
The Group’s mission is to lead and inspire growth, based on
providing excellent services. It provides strategic direction,
support and corporate services to member companies. Members are
encouraged to share expertise, avoid duplication and be recognised
for their distinctive strengths. The team includes almost 1,000
people, who collectively keep the business calm, creative and
focused. Stability is also a key feature, with around one-third of
employees having worked for the Group for at least 10 years.
