Skills and Development

Want to brush up your maths, English or IT skills? Need one-to-one help with managing money, getting online or gaining employment? Our Community Programmes provide all these services from our three Cambridgeshire-based centres.

Community Programmes

Through our Community Programmes we provide quality learning, training and skills development from our community-based Skills and Development Centres, working with a range of learners aged 16 and over. Our objective is to provide an innovative and quality learning experience for people to meet their individual needs and aspirations.

Maths and English distance learning

Are you interested in updating your Maths, English and IT skills?

If you want to brush up on your maths, English and IT skills, or you simply want to update your qualifications, we can help.

We offer various maths, English and IT courses at different levels, up to, and including GCSE equivalent.

The courses are completed online, and the programmes are devised around your current knowledge. This means that you can achieve your qualification quicker and at a pace that suits you.

We offer qualifications accredited by City & Guilds.

Help with managing your finances

Do you want to make sense of your money, get online or find routes into employment?

Our New Horizons project offers coaching to help you make sense of your money, as well as get online and find routes into employment.

Our trained coaches will work with you to provide one-to-one support sessions over an average of 20 hours. They’ll work with you to set realistic goals and take the necessary steps to help you meet them. We will provide end-to-end coaching covering money, work and help to get online. Each participant will receive, on average, 20 hours of coaching support to enable them to get on in life and closer to employment. If needed, additional debt remedy services will be offered to participants as part of the project by one of our partners

Coaching sessions generally take place in one of our centres where you’ll have free access to our computers and the internet.
