Pod offers a new and innovative opportunity. Formed out of a partnership between Longhurst Group and Nottingham Community H.A., Pod takes the best of what each company has to offer in the field of housing development and shares it with other housing associations, developers and local authorities.

Operating from it's core area of the East Midlands, Pod is increasingly active in East Anglia, Yorkshire and Humberside and the West Midlands.

Pod brings together development professionals from within Longhurst and NCHA, both highly respected major organisations, with extensive contacts and experience in the following fields :

• partnerships with major national, regional and local developers.
• active relationships with around fifty local authorities.
• working with a Consortium of fifteen housing associations with the capacity to develop over 1,000 homes a year.
• a strong partner to the Housing Corporation, operating in four regions.

The vision behind Pod is to create opportunities to work beyond just affordable housing - to deliver mixed tenure housing and to provide high quality development services to other organisations, particularly where a housing or community linkage exists.
