Spire Homes has joined forces with Rutland County Council to supply more bins to residents in Spire’s ground floor flats to help stop their communal bins becoming too full.

When staff at Spire Homes heard that some residents were having issues with communal bins becoming full, they solved the problem by arranging for the number of recycling collections to be increased. It then came to light that some residents were disposing of their garden waste in the household bins so Spire’s Estates Officer Brian contacted a number of the ground floor residents with gardens to see if they would like individual bins for garden waste.

Spire Homes and Rutland County Council delivered the new bins just in time for Christmas with the help of refuse contractor Cory. And to help make sure that the bins remain with their owners, Spire provided each one with personalised sticky identity labels.
