Ever wondered what it was like to be homeless? Well Carol
Underwood, Head of Supported Housing at Spire Homes found out on
the 5th February whilst taking part at one of the YMCA’s
Sleep Easy events at St Giles Church, Northampton.
Hundreds of people participated and the event
is expected to raise nearly £10,000. These funds are vital for the
YMCA’s work with young homeless people and Carol contributed almost
£300 to help.
“It was cold, wet and my box wasn’t the most comfortable, but
it gave me a real insight into what these young people have to go
through every day” said Carol, “It makes
yourealisewhat you take for granted. This is a
fantastic cause and I would like to thank everybody who has
sponsored me.”
