Havelok at Home
Havelok at Home is a vital support network that offers a range of
services designed to enable people over 65 or adults with physical
or mental health disabilities to live independently in their own
homes in North- East Lincolnshire.
Following a distressing fall and subsequently
being hospitalised, Helen from Grimsby felt she needed assistance
when she returned home with some of her household tasks.
“While I was in hospital a nurse informed me
of Havelok at Home. At first I was a little apprehensive but after
I contacted them I felt reassured as they were very friendly and
understanding,” Helen said.
“Havelok at Home have been coming to me once a
fortnight for the past two years and have helped me by dusting and
vacuuming my stairs. They have been wonderful and have taken
the pressure off my family”.
Tracey is Helen’s support worker, “I really
enjoy helping people like Helen to stay in their own homes
independently. It is so rewarding seeing the difference this makes
to their lives.”
“I currently help Helen with her vacuuming and
dusting but I can also assist with a wide range of other care
services. Helen and I are planning a day out, walking to the park
on my next visit”.
