Havelok Homes are proud to be taking part in this year’s 24th
Brocklesby Country Fair on Sunday 28th June in support of “When you
Wish Upon A Star” children’s charity.
Despite being one of the sponsors of the Fair for the past few
years, this will be the first time that Havelok has taken part on
the day. To celebrate, we will be exhibiting in style and taking
our community vehicle to the beautiful setting of the private
parklands belonging to the Earl and Countess of Yarborough.
Members of the Havelok team will be available to talk to residents,
and the general public, about our services. They will also be
on-hand to offer advice and help in accessing affordable homes and
care and support services including housing support, care homes,
sheltered housing and Havelok at Home.
One of the key objectives of the Fair is to support local charities
and this year’s main charity is “When You Wish Upon A Star” which
grants terminally ill children a final wish. To show our support,
Havelok Homes will be selling raffle tickets throughout the day
which will help local children of Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
Brocklesby Fair boasts to be one of the largest one day shows in
the UK and makes a wonderful family day out, offering a wide range
of fun-filled activities and family entertainment, including:
- A children’s area – an area consisting of a fun fair, carnival
stalls, bouncy castles, a climbing wall and trampolines
- A countryside area for everyone to ‘have a go’ at activities
including archery, pistol shooting, clay shooting,
paintballing and ferret racing
- Pig racing
- A vintage tractor rally
- Demonstrations including rush seat making, woodturning, walking
stick carving, metal working and net making
- A shopping emporium – a wide range of trade stands ranging from
gifts, collectables, paintings, furniture and kitchens through to
books, handbags and clothing and children’s toys
- A food court – an area where visitors will have the chance to
sample the famous traditional Lincolnshire sausages and other
delights such homemade burgers, ice cream, donuts and much
more.
