Human Resources Co-ordinator
(Temporary Maternity Leave - up to one year)

Salary:                            £17,510.85 pa 
Hours:                            36.25 hours per week
Based:                            Friendship Offices, Bedworth, Warwickshire

Post requirements:

The Human Resources team at Friendship Care & Housing (Friendship) form part of a larger HR directorate within the Longhurst Group and are based in both Birmingham and Warwickshire in order to provide an excellent service for departments in these regions. As a team, we are responsible for the provision of a range of personnel and training services to both management and staff employed by Friendship.  The focus of the team is to promote excellence in people management and development, thereby ensuring that the Association’s customers are provided with high quality care and support. 

This role encompasses all aspects of Human Resources, including HR and Recruitment Administration and first level HR advice with a strong focus on the Care & Support sector. Working alongside a designated portfolio of managers, you will ensure that statutory and local policies and protocols are adhered to in relation to the employment of staff.  You will also be required to cover the absence of the HR Co-ordinators in the team. 

To be successful in this post, you will: -

·         Have sound experience of working in a fast paced HR department.
·         Have a basic understanding of employment law
·         Have a good understanding of data protection and confidentiality
·         Be able to demonstrate previous experience of dealing with recruitment
                   administration.
·         Hold the ability to accurately produce reports, create forms and issue
                   standard letters with minimal supervision.
·         Be able to demonstrate experience of processing and setting up payroll.
·         Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the
                     confidence to deal with individuals at all levels both over the
                     telephone and face-to-face.
·         Possess strong attention to detail along with good co-ordination and
                      organisation skills.
·         Hold excellent time management and prioritisation skills
·         Possess solid IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft
                      Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as HR systems.
·         Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English.
·         CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice (or equivalent) is desirable.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Business Improvement section within the Longhurst Group Business Excellence and ICT department. The primary role of the Business Improvement Team is to facilitate the implementation of new products and services deployed through a sound project management methodology and to exploit and develop the current corporate systems to maximise value to our customers.

The newly created role is for an ICT trainer offers a challenging environment to improve and develop the deployment of training needs to new and existing personnel throughout the Longhurst Group. It is expected that the trainer will develop a practical understanding of the corporate systems from both an ICT and user perspective and create innovative techniques for improving the skill base of users. The trainer will be expected to work within the business improvement team to support project and application support functions within the context of training. The job role will also include assessing training needs, documentation, training delivery, supporting key projects, supporting systems to develop training plans.

Post requirements:

You will have a professional attitude and the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.  The right candidate will demonstrate a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm for improving how our systems are used. The trainer will work closely with the project managers and our HR department to ensure that our users are trained appropriately.

The ideal candidate will be of degree calibre with a proven track record of delivering practical training for ICT systems and it is therefore essential that the candidate has a suitable qualification within training.  It is desirable that the candidate has a housing background and can demonstrate the potential and aptitude for the technical aspects of this role, including databases, workflow and reporting tools.

You will be working at our main office site in Boston however travel to our sites in Nottingham, Rushden, Birmingham and Grimsby will be an essential requirement within the role.
