Respite care
We know how vital it is for family members and
other carers to have a break from their responsibilities so they
can recharge their batteries.
That’s why Longhurst Group member L&H
Homes provides high quality short-term
respite care at two of its care homes for older
people, The Grove and Cranwell Court in Grimsby. L&H also
provides an extensive range of
day care packages at Cranwell Court so that older
people can join in activities or just relax on their own.
Another of our members, Friendship Care and
Housing, offers a respite facility at its
registered care home in Balsall Heath, Birmingham,
which is dedicated to older people with an African Caribbean
heritage. This service offers a temporary home from home for
individuals while their main carer takes a short break.
In addition to these services, Longhurst Group
provides other help for older
people, help for
vulnerable people, help for young people, and
advocacy and
advice.
