Advocacy and advice
We understand that the people we support can
often feel overwhelmed by the issues they face and need an extra
helping hand.
Longhurst Group members’ advocacy services
therefore provide them with impartial advice, information and
practical support to ensure they know their rights and are treated
fairly.
These services are available as part of the
everyday care provided by our dedicated teams. You can find out
more by following the links in our pages giving information about
help for older
people, help for
vulnerable people and help for young people.
Longhurst Group members provide a range of
other advice for customers, whatever their age or circumstances,
including practical help to manage debts.
For example, Friendship Care and Housing has
launched a ground-breaking campaign, Money
Matters, which helps people save cash and deal with
debt, while Spire
Homes works with Citizens Advice to ensure its
residents receive prompt help if they run into debt.
